Steam Rice Cooking Method

Steam rice is known for its soft texture, natural aroma, and quick cooking time. It is commonly used in everyday meals and is preferred because it cooks faster compared to other varieties.

    Soaking Process

    Before cooking, the rice should be soaked in clean
     water.

    Soaking Time: Approximately 30 minutes

    Soaking helps the grains absorb moisture, which ensures even cooking and improves the final texture of the rice.

    Cooking Process

    First, bring a pot of water to a full boil.
    Once the water starts boiling, add the soaked rice.
    Allow the rice to cook in the boiling water.

    Cooking Time

    8 minutes for fully cooked rice (firm and perfectly cooked grains)
    7 minutes for slightly lighter cooking

    Result

    When cooked properly, steam rice becomes soft, fluffy, and aromatic, with each grain remaining separate.
